SILVESTER_carte_agresti – Paper art with paper

Torre Fornello hosted in April 2014 the workshop SILVESTER_carte agresti, involving 12 students from the Academy of Belle Arti of Brera and their creations of cards and environmental craft works

The protagonist of the project: paper.

In addition to the works there were exhibited also the first labels on wines, designed by the workshop participants and other students enrolled in the course and intended solely for the 40 magnum of Cabernet Sauvignon DOC Colli Piacentini 2002 Torre Fornello.

Twelve students – enrolled in the course of Paper Technology on Academy of Belle Arti in Brera – and led by Professor Margherita Labbe: Alessandra Accardo, Nicolò Accaria, Silvia Bertolamei, Michele Bruna, Martina Giarola, Stefano Monti, Matteo Parenza, Chantall Passarella, Giorgia Ramunni, Marcello Rotondella, Chen Yinglu e Li Zhaopeng .

Young artists have ventured into the production of handmade cards, arranged in extemporaneous environmental works site in the Torre Fornello estate, both in the countryside close to the vineyards, both in the halls. The themes range from the cycle of viticulture at the relationship between man and nature, with specific attention to the natural environment of the company, referring to the contemporary experiences that establish a direct relationship with the natural environment and with the territory.

These works reveal pathways, in harmony with the environment, experiencing the installation possibilities of paper material in precarious situations.

The exhibition is curated by Prof. Margherita Labbe, Enrico Sgorbati and Rosalba Sironi Xerra.
