"La
Jara"
Chardonnay
Doc Colli Piacentini |
|
|
It takes its name from
a small parcel of land in the commune of Ziano, planted with
Chardonnay and overlooking an old farmhouse of great charm called
"La Jara". The grapes are hand-picked and placed in small wooden
crates during the first ten days of September. All the juice
obtained from soft pressing ferments in small French oak barrels
holding 225 litres each, and it stays there for nine months.
The wine is then aged in bottle before it can be sold.
